Jitterbugs FAQ & Policies
Class Dates: Please make sure to your class dates to your personal calendars, and share them with any caregivers coming to class. Your session's classes are not always consecutive, as we have days off for holidays and school breaks. You can find your classes exact meeting dates at www.karenkitterbugs.com
Make Ups: Families are allowed two make-ups per session. Make-ups must be done within the semester for which your family is registered; there are no carry-overs from semester to semester. Please schedule a make-up in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Inclement Weather Policy: We follow the lead of the public schools for inclement weather cancellations. If the public schools in the town/city in which your class takes place are closed, so is Jitterbugs. In this case, a class will automatically be added to the end of your session (much like a "snow day" in schools), so there is NO NEED TO DO A MAKE-UP.
The same is true in the rare event that class is canceled do to teacher illness. You will be notified via email and social media when a class is canceled.
Refunds - Tuition is fully refundable before classes begin. After that, tuition refunds of 50% are given for classes not attended. No refunds after 2 weeks. That said, if life circumstances get in the way of your ability to come shake your tail with us after you register, contact Karen.
Guests - We LOVE guests at Jitterbugs, especially family members. (Grandparents love Jitterbugs!) We also welcome siblings who have the day off from school. To schedule a visit from a friend, sibling or other child please email in advance to be sure there's room. Drop-Ins are $20/child $10/siblings A drop-in sibling fee is $10 / class.
